John Cash

An eighth generation native Bahamian, John Cash was born on Great Guana Cay, Abaco and grew up in Treasure Cay. He graduated from Abaco Central High School in Marsh Harbour and then moved to Tampa to study at the University of South Florida where he received his B.A. in Business Administration in 1985.

After graduating from college, John returned to Abaco and was employed at Boat Harbour Marina in Marsh Harbour and later Newport International Ltd. in Treasure Cay as comptroller. His accounting and managerial skills lead him to become an entrepreneur at Treasure Cay where he simultaneously operated a successful dive center, boat rental and golf cart rental business for a decade.

In November 2000, John joined the largest and longest established real estate company in The Bahamas as an Estate Agent and in less than four years, completed all of the Council of Resident Specialist courses and Bahamas Real Estate Association requirements to become a Real Estate Broker. John also became a member of the Bahamas Realtor Institute (B.R.I.) in 2003 after completing a Professional Sales Training Course in Nassau.

In December 2004, John earned the distinction of becoming the first realtor in Abaco to obtain the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (C.R.S.) designation. This is the highest credential awarded to sales agents in residential real estate and recognizes achievements in both experience and education.

In January 2008, John became the first realtor in The Bahamas to have been awarded the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council (REBAC) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS (NAR). To obtain this coveted designation, John was required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in buyer representation and an elective course focusing on a buyer representation specialty, both in addition to submitting documentation verifying professional experience.

In addition to his Bahamian real estate training, John has participated in sales and marketing seminars offered in South Carolina by Marketing and Sales Institute Inc. This leading organization brings together real estate developers, their sales associates, and advertising and marketing affiliates, to gain excellence in knowledge on issues relating to the creation and marketing of amenities communities.

John holds a South Carolina Brokers License and is very knowledgeable in U.S. real estate, which allows him to closely relate to his American clients and further their understanding of local real estate practice. John realizes that advanced real estate knowledge plays a vital role in becoming the professional realtor that clients demand in todays real estate market.

John and his wife, Cathi, enjoy purchasing investment properties to renovate. They currently live oceanfront in Treasure Cay in a home they completely restored a few years ago. The Cashs own several rental properties on both the beach and marina that they offer for short term rental and long term lease. They have experienced firsthand the benefit of investing in real estate in The Bahamas.

Desirae Lowe

Desirae Lowe is a native Bahamian who grew up and still resides in Treasure Cay, Abaco. She was educated at Forest Heights Academy, in Marsh Harbour, where she graduated in 2005, moving into the profession of property management and rentals with Island Dreams, the largest and longest established property management company in Abaco.

Desirae has also been employed at other businesses at Treasure Cay, such as Banyan Beach Club, Cash’s Cart Rentals and Treasure Cay Property Owners Association, where she learned and performed a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and receptionist duties. In 2007, Desirae had the opportunity to join John Cash Realty and successfully completed the Bahamas Real Estate Association’s course becoming a licensed sales representative.

Desirae realizes that this is just the beginning of her real estate career and is determined to serve her clients to the greatest of her ability and plans to obtain more qualifications in the real estate field and further her professional learning experience.
